This photo documentary highlights the efforts of specialists to support stable, healthy populations of lions in the Great Mara Ecosystem by providing scientific evidence for conservation action. Their work is mainly focused on lion tracking and photo identification, and they have a strong approach with the local communities to educate kids and bring more sustainable solutions for the Lion x Humans conflicts. The Mara Predator Conservation Programme has created Wildlife Clubs in public schools and has also assigned many different Wildlife ambassadors all over the local communities, responsible for reporting conflicts and mitigating the aggressive response the locals may have to lions. The project created more than 80 lion bomas for the Community with recycled material, helping to prevent the intense deforestation around the Mara Ecosystem.
